Mangaka:
Chie Shinohara

Summary: (taken from mangaupdates)
Soko starts feeling sick soon after moving to a new city, apparently for no reason. As beautiful as she is, a lot of guys start to bother her, especially Kashi. While trying to rape her, Kashi disappears and after a few days another guy shows up pretending to be Kashi. And everyone but Soko believes him!

He tells her he is Akira the Byakko, from the family of the West. Because she is the reincarnation of Souryo, the queen of the Oni from the family of the East, a monster that eats humans to stay alive, he must destroy her and erase her genes from Earth. He is the only one who can kill her and the one that must do so. Soko is desperate. Is she really a monster? Why does she have human memories? Why does she have to die? Will she be able to change her destiny and stay alive?

Genre:
Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Mature, Mystery, Romance, Shoujo

I love the mangas produced by Chie Shinohara. Although people have often commented that her artwork is old-fashioned, I personally think it is incredible - it kind of reminds me of the artwork of Saito Chiho, another mangaka whose work I like. Ao no Fuuin is being scanlated by storminheaven, and so far it's great! Soko and Akira absolutely belong together! (Despite the more recent chapters).

Yeah, I 've read this manga 4 years ago...and I still like this manga so much. It's too long for me to remember all character names...but this 's really romantic manga, angst a bit (and I also like ex-husband of Soko too, but...>__>), but happy ending, so it's all right!^^. that's Chie Shinohara 's style :x

This is an amazing manga. The storyline is fabulous, the characters are interesting, and the artwork is stunning. If you loved Anatolia Story, you'll definiely enjoy this one. The storyline is even more amazing then that one. I was completely immersed into the storyline to where I couldn't stop reading. And I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest and seeing how it ends. I'm wondering if it'll end the way I think.. but honestly, so far, most of my assumptions have been wrong (Shinohara Chie is amazing at making all your assumptions fly right out the window) so I can't be too sure. If you haven't checked this one out, I definitely would.

And seriously, I have to wonder where some of these mangakas come up with their storylines.. they either have amazing dreams while sleeping or they just happen to be blessed with a wicked imagination.

I like the stories of Chie Shinohara ! There is always a little bit of horror and adventure in her mangas !
She thinks of really good plots and love stories !
Ao no Fuin is a good example of her work !

Storm in Heaven hosts this manga right on their site (as least as far as they have scanulated). I love the supernatural aspects to this manga. There are times when you just have to feel sorry for the characters! Shinohara Chie likes those situations where the love between the characters is so thick you can see it, yet they still have some -major- thing preventing them from admitting it.

I so share your opinion about Shinohara Chie's works. I so admire her and probably my most great weakness is that I search for raws of her works, that is also why I know the ending of this manga
